Current Projects
Nitrogen Logic, creating home automation software and hardware that lets you use the Kinect camera and other cool techniques to control your home.
I also do limited contract programming via my business Audio Interface Design.
Open Source
I have contributed to or started a number of projects on SourceForge, and I have a Github account where I post code as well.
Past Work
This is a collection of projects I've started, contributed to, or otherwise been involved with at some point in the past.
Recent Memory
I wrote the ARCOS software used by JBL Synthesis for audio system configuration (see this YouTube video).
Middle Ages
I wrote most of the third-party control section of the help file in London Architect v2.0, an application used to configure sound systems made by BSS Audio. I also designed most of the Crestron touchscreen UI used in BSS Audio's 2007 Infocomm demonstration, and did a small amount of work on their 2008 Infocomm demo's AMX system.
The MyHD Linux Driver was an attempt to reverse engineer a chipset commonly used by ATSC digital TV tuner cards around 2002-2003. A working Linux framebuffer driver and ALSA audio driver were produced before the project was abandoned in 2007 due to the availability of Linux-friendly digital TV tuners.
Ancient History
I developed my own home theater frontend software in 2002-2003 using OpenGL, and deployed it on a Linux HTPC that ran until the hardware died.
In 2002 I worked for Lindows.com, Inc., and wrote the official easter egg of their original Click-n-Run software.
Pre-history
These projects are nearly ten years old or older, and are included for curiosity only.
I coauthored libfbx, a library to provide easier access to the Linux framebuffer. There were some other libraries written along with libfbx, as part of the defunct U4X Linux distribution project.
palace-dci was a plugin for XMMS (an old Linux audio player) that used a PC's parallel port to control a light show.
